This book had me sitting up to all hours of the night with the gripping story. There are many facets, but for me the life-affirming philosophy of the heroine is memorable and something to live up to myself. There are wonderful happy events, but also tragic twists which had me weeping copiously. The language is good which is a pleasure to read, so I will look forward to reading more works by this author. Highly recommended.
When you give yourself over to this heartfelt tour de force, you will embark on a glorious journey that will make you look at life in a more appreciative, deeper and far more colorful way. To me, it was indeed a life-changing read.
It's been awhile since a story has brought me to tears, laughter, love. This is such a good read. I loved it, and the narration was perfect for these characters and story.
Not my favorite predictable and long hard to read. Sad.... the characters were not that exciting and the plot was a lifetime movie
An excellent read that I would highly recommend. It is funny, sad, hopeful, and encouraging, with characters who are realistic and lively and fun to know. You can see and believe in the colors as you enjoy this portrayal of love and grief. You are left with a warm feeling of optimism in what lies ahead for all of us.
Beautifully written story about life's struggles and strength in adversity. The story only covers a few months in the life of a young woman and the friends and strangers that she meets during that time. The best, and worst, part of the story is how I was drawn in and felt like one of the characters, experiencing all of their joy and sadness over each other's dramas. The problem with the story is disengaging at the end and moving on to the next novel. It still feels like I'm still part of the story but have lost touch with my friends.
An incredibly sad, incredibly beautiful, emotional roller coaster of a story. If you liked The Fault in Our Stars, you should definitely read this, because this one has a similar idea, only it's much, much better. It's the kind of story that inspires you to live the best life you can.
