K Ryan written a fabulous story here! She mentioned all these problems a broken family has, parents with health problems, or with alcohol problems, or parents who push their childrens to follow their personal abbitions than their own ones and then, there are the kids, broken and unhappy from their lives but always there to pleased their parents...And then, there are the outlaws! The people you always keep an eye on them over your shoulder, you always stay away from them but...always want to know more about them. It's a forbidden fruit!!!..and a great subject to use in a story, if you know stuff about them!I believe, K Ryan developed the story with lightness in this book, which was an intelligent decision, if you ask me, and developed this unconditional love, a young couple that fights to stay bound, no matter the circumstances they had to deal, and at the same time to fought their own demons, their own unsettle toughts and decisions. My only criticism goes to the long monologues. They did dragged a bit and made me change the page and go further. However, the story flowed quickly, until it finished and I had to write my thoughts before I start reading the second book of the series. Yes, I loved reading "Carry you home"! I loved it...and I believe every girl in that age or almost in that age has to read it....maybe her mother too if she likes to read books. Love story or not, "Carry you home" has a lot more things to show us than a common love story.

Carry Your Heart edition by K Ryan Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Good writing but seemed to drag. There were too many problems that got resolved then disappeared. There were her two ex boyfriends, then her alcoholic father, his ex, club culture, then art school all resolved one way or another I kept thinking it was finally over. Then it did end, but there is an epilogue that adds another problem and so it continues to the next book. I think I will stop here and forget the epilogue and other books.
I was a huge fan of K. Ryan's while she was writing fanfiction and I love this novel just as much! The writing style is realistic and personal, making you feel like you're having a conversation with the characters. I cannot wait for the next two stories to be released!!!
I loved the storyline and characters. My only complaint would be that it kind of drug a little in the middle.
I finally got some time to sit down and read this book. I got hooked right away and kept wanting to read more. Can't wait to start book #2.
This is well written cute and even sexy. however, it doesn't carry a lot of depth for me. It was just a quick, simple YA read. I say YA because these two were not even in college yet. I think it's the summer before. Anyway, young love and all that jazz.
Good read. Enjoy if you want something to pull your head outta of all that angst out there.
This was exactly what I needed! As an English teacher I naturally crave reading, but as a summertime stay-at-home mom, I desperately need to have something carefree and intriguing to get lost in. That’s how I felt with Isabelle and Caleb-- even if it did take quite a while for “the action” to happen. Although I might have texted K. Ryan to desperately ask how much longer until they get down to the nitty gritty, I think I most appreciated how she prolonged their relationship and took the time to develop the characters and their foundation. I find that too often do New Adult/Contemporary Romance authors rush into the “juicy” parts… no pun intended. So thank you, K. Ryan, for making us wait right along with the characters!
The allusions made me smile! Some of my favorite poems and movies were referenced, including ee cummings “i carry your heart” which was read at my wedding. I thought this made the characters engaging and realistic for their ages.
Some reviews have mentioned the similarities to SOA, which makes sense because of the author’s adoration of a certain strikingly sexy man from the series. However, I have never seen the show, so I was unfazed by this… maybe I should watch it though now is Jax is anything like Caleb?!? ;)
Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good romance, witty one-liners, and a kickass playlist! I’m eagerly waiting for September when I can get my hands on a copy of “Carry You with Me”!
Isabelle & Caleb's story was a little up & down, but very good! I'm not a fan of a story having other bf/gf - I prefer the focus to be on our H/h and their relationship. This story did focus a little too much on the other bf/gf, and even tho I understood that it was part of each of them discovering what was so right in their relationship from having ones that felt so wrong... Eh. There were a few missing words & grammatical errors that were pretty glaring - not sure how they made it through editing! But otherwise the writing was very good. )
I'm not a fan of the epilogue & what it was setting up. REALLY not sure if I'll continue w/ the series or if I'll stick w/ the HEA in this one...
What I LOVED, however, was the friendship that built for Isabelle & Caleb. And when they finally admitted that their friendship had grown into love, the way they both handled things honestly & communicated pretty well, that gets a thumbs up from me. Toward the end, something happened & I couldn't wrap my head around why this was happening at the END of the book, but then it worked out & I enjoyed the way Iz came to her decision. And I love both Iz & Caleb's heart. Just wanna hug 'em! Side characters were well written, also, so that's a plus. )
