This book proves that just because you have a PhD doesn't mean you can author a good book. I read a lot of mysteries, and this was one of my least favorites. The Christian angle was good, but the characters lacked depth. There were a lot of people mentioned and described that really didn't have a purpose in the plot. There were a lot of unanswered questions and "family situations" that were not really true to life and thus made the book less enjoyable to me. There could've been a lot more colorful descriptions of the surroundings, more in depth dealing with their emotions, and then I could've really enjoyed the book. I read every word, hoping it would get better, but it never did.Product details

the story is one that has many people who commit crimes and they have good things that they do also
Mary Gale Hinrichsen showed us a glimpse of high sea murder and theft. The story left some questions unanswered,but overall it was worth the read.
Good book! I enjoyed it he story line and the characters were well developed. It moved rather slowly at times, but it was a good story.
Good suspenseful novel.....kept me guessing throughout.....really nicely fast paced reading. Of course, the ending was pure Holywood with the thief planning To turn over a new leaf....but overall very interesting theme.
Christian values part was fine, but the rest of the book was totally preposterous. Glad I got it long ago when it was free. Almost couldn't finish it, did alot of skimming through.
Total. Crap. Besides the issues I have with lack of proofreading, the characters annoyed me. At no point did I feel there was any cohesiveness linking the characters together in this book. Thank goodness this was free, because I would be really peeved if I spent money on this nonsense.
Easy read. Interesting plot, but predictable outcomes along the way. Some of the character development explaining backgrounds didn't seem to have any relevance to the main plot of the novel. In two instances, background was given on a character, but then never developed further beyond that point nor explained in terms of a reason for its inclusion or how it related to the plot.
